BUDE JAZZ CLUB, the brain child of Pat Sullivan, was formed in 1990 to promote and encourage jazz, particularly New Orleans and Traditional style jazz in Bude and the surrounding area. The club currently presents live entertainment about twice a month, usually on Sunday evenings, 8pm 'till 11pm, our main venue being The Falcon Hotel, acknowledged as one of the best jazz venues in the country.

Membership is open to all over the age of fourteen. Annual membership is currently 8 per person which entitles you to a reduced entrance fee at all gigs and to receive a monthly jazz newsletter named "HOT NOTES" which gives details of forth coming events as well as articles on the history of jazz. Other than at special events, admission is 6 for members and 8 for visitors, free admission if under fourteen. We have a complimentary arrangement with the Plymouth Jazz Club where members can also benefit from reduced admission to their gigs.

Each year the Bude Jazz Club celebrates its anniversary with a two band special held on the eve of the Bude Jazz Festival. The Bude Jazz Festival is not connected to the Club, however many visitors extend their Festival holiday by arriving a day early to attend our Anniversary Celebration where visitors are made very welcome.
